"So far away from where you are These miles have torn us worlds apart. And I miss you Yeah, I miss you So far away from where you are Standing underneath the stars. And I wish you were here... I miss the years that were erased I miss the way the sunshine would light up your face. I miss all the little things I never thought that they'd mean everything to me Yeah, I miss you And I wish you were here..." -From Where You Are, Lifehouse
Here's a piece I did on a whim, after listening to a good deal of flowery music that I'd dug out of the recesses of my iTunes. It's (supposed to be, but probably looks nothing like) Alphonse, in his human form, thinking about his brother after his disappearance. This, of course, is him later on, when he starts wearing his hair and clothes like his older brother. I think that's part of the confusion: because of how he's dressed and the length of his hair, he looks more like a really badly-drawn Edward than Alphonse, which was an error on my part. Edward is, of course, in the picture: up in the sky (MUFASA STYLE YO). I had hoped that inluding him would make it clear that Alphonse was...Alphonse. Instead, I was asked, 'Why did you draw Edward twice?' So that didn't quite work out. Sad day. Regardless, I think the picture has a nice, sappy, nostalgic effect.
So beautiful! I love the stars and Alphonse' tears. "I had hoped that inluding him would make it clear that Alphonse was...Alphonse. Instead, I was asked, 'Why did you draw Edward twice?'" No! Anyone who has watched all of Fullmetal Alchemist will understand.
Aaahh, this gives me ALL THE FEELINGS.... This is wonderful artwork, and very evocative. You did splendidly with the facial expressions. Mufasa style rules!!
Sad that people can't tell them apart from each other. I could clearly see that Al was Al. :/ I think it's a very beautiful drawing. Very emotionally. <3
